Bonk's Revenge, known as PC Genjin 2 (PC原人2, PC Caveman 2) in Japan, is a scrolling platform game developed by Red Company and released in 1991 for the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16. The game was re-released for the TurboDuo in 1992 on the 4 in 1 Super CD game CD-ROM. This is the second title in the Bonk series.
Story[]
The Evil King Drool III is out for Bonk! And he's building a Monster Kingdom that threatens to destroy the world! As Bonk the Caveman, you're out for revenge in this all-out head banger of a follow up to the original bonk. Knock yourself out with all-new characters, bonus stages, power-up items and an array of enemies that may look "friendly", but certainly don't act like it!
Gameplay[]
Bonk's Revenge plays much like its predecessor, Bonk's Adventure, mostly expanding on the original game's formula. In addition to his original arsenal of movements, Bonk can now climb up trees, spin on horizontal poles as well as bounce off walls by bonking them, allowing him to climb up narrow gaps by continuously bouncing off the walls. Meat power-ups work much like before, with his first powered up form now releasing puffs of smoke when attacking which freeze enemies, while the second transformation is able to breathe fire. Smiley Faces now allow the player to reach a bonus area after the boss at the end of each world, allowing the player to restore life.
