GB Genjin Land: Viva! Chikkun Kingdom is an action video game that was released by Hudson Soft for Game Boy on April 22, 1994 exclusively in Japan. It is a unique entry in the Bonk series as it consists of multiple mini-games rather than being a standard side-scrolling platformer.
Story[]
The player plays as Bonk and the goal is to destroy King Drool's Chikkun Kingdom Amusement Park.
Gameplay[]
The player controls Bonk on a board. In the bottom middle corner is a shop where the player can buy one of four tickets for each minigame, which require points to purchase, and the player needs to play the same minigame 4 times (with 4 different difficulties). On the first playthrough, the player must spend the 100 points and choose a minigame. The gameplay style during the minigame sections is very similar to the Game Boy version of Bonk's Adventure.
Note[]
The game does not have a save system, meaning that if the player leaves the board below, they will return to the title screen, and all progress will be reset.
Minigames[]
There are a total of 7 minigames:
- Chikkun Tataki
- Hone Hone Kuzushi
- Chikkun Mansion
- Misuterizon
- A Little Coaster
- Hey! Shinbo
- Doremifa Soreike! (Unlockable)
Rereleases[]
The game was included as part of the Genjin Collection for the same support in 1996 in Japan.
