Bonk Wiki

Super Genjin 2 (超原人2), also known as Super Bonk 2, is a 1995 2D platform video game, developed by Red Entertainment and published by Hudson Soft for the Super Famicom. It is a direct sequel to Super Bonk in the Bonk series, and the only platform game in the series never to be released outside Japan.

Gameplay[]

Super Genjin 2 plays drastically different compared to its predecessors, with a much heavier focus being given to transformations. Much like in the Game Boy Bonk's Revenge, Bonk can transform into different forms by picking specific items:

  • Brown Meat turns bonk into "Angry Bonk", allowing Bonk to create a huge fire wave on the ground by head-dropping.
  • Green Meat turns bonk into "Thief Bonk", allowing Bonk to throw smileys at enemies.
  • Pink Meat turns bonk into "Cute Bonk", allowing Bonk to double jump.
  • Egg turns bonk into "Fester Bonk", allowing Bonk to fly.
  • Shovel turns bonk into "Drill Bonk", allowing Bonk to dig through blocks.
  • Candy turns bonk into "Tiny Bonk", allowing Bonk to shout letters to use as a platform.
  • Shades turns bonk into "Frog Bonk", allowing Bonk to whip out a tongue to grab items out of reach.

Super Genjin 2 also ditches the automatic respawn system from previous games, with stages now having checkpoints to where the player returns upon losing a life.
